No one else knew of its past…and maybe they could get some use out of it. It was a nice jacket, after all, albeit a little scraped up from the thornbush. She laid it out on the bed of grass, folding it gently and neatly, pressing any wrinkles out of the worn leather that had provided her warmth for so many lonely months.
