Cúan had not realised just how late it was until the metal worker had led them to the furnace, The small dusty brown cat was peppy as they offered a solution to the shepherds heroic journey that was really them being a glorified errand boy, which they had signed up for but it seemed everything that could go wrong had. They kept going and moving along. The warmth of the fires heath in the furnace was comfortable and it shun a deep amber glow across the two cats faces , one peered up and the other peering down. Cúan nodded as the smaller cat quickly moved back to work, they turned to look at them once or twice as the large cat took the shovel and began to move the coals with force and practised aim.
They just hopped this would be done soon but this was also an excellent way to burn of extra energy, breaking into a sweat as they finished shovelling the same cat appeared once again as cúan looked down , dusting their sooted paws off.

The older cat placed the metal in the younger's paws, carefully wrapped in thick material. the metal was still warm but had been cooled , they smiled and thanked them before heading back to the blacksmiths. Sun drowsily falling back over the horizon.
