Marie to Silas

[Formatted Docs Version]

Dear husband,

Have you been sleeping of late? I do hope you haven’t been running yourself ragged. Do not get lost in your research; remember to eat, please. Carina has just developed an interest in baking and has practically begged to send you a goodie bag, but I warned her that they may not be the quality she desires upon arrival–at which she firmly decided to wait so you could taste them in their full glory.

All that said, we love you. I’m thrilled to hear that you believe you’ve found a lead on Laurestine. I have spent sleepless nights worrying about what became of them. Please give them my regards, and as much as you might loathe it, an embrace. I believe you both may need one.

Carina’s health has not improved in your absence. She’s recently complained of aches and fatigues rather quickly, but I have made sure she is getting her nutrients and the rest she needs. I have full confidence in you to find a cure for the ailment that plagues you both. In the meantime, I shall continue to love and care for you two.

As always, we will be waiting for you. I cannot wait to hold both you and Carina at once again.

Love,
Marie
